A Story of Inspiration with Louise from Taylor & Porter | Part 2

Last week, we were inspired by Louise of Taylor & Porter in how she experiences creativity and how she has connected with the world around her. If you missed it, you can find it here! This week, we are continuing Louise's interview with why she loves travel and some places she hopes to visit. One of the places would be a repeat trip- Japan. We love how she captured Japanese traditions, architecture, and landscapes and we are sure you will too!

Me: What is something- a creative project or creative field trip- something that you've thought, “Oh, this would be fun to go and do this?”

Louise: Oh gosh, there are so many. They all revolve around places that I have not been yet.

Me: That was going to be my next question- where you would want to visit?

Louise:  There's a whole heap of places I would want to visit, but at the top of my list would probably be India. I would love to go there simply because sometimes people can be a bit afraid of color. I want to learn to embrace more color and it is the most colorful place on the planet, I think, so I'm interested to go there to work with color in a bold way. If the opportunity presents itself, I would love to go. I think culturally it is fascinating and I would love to learn the history and culture over there- it's just wonderful.

Me: What is the most interesting culture you have experienced so far?

Louise: Probably Japan. I went to Japan last year in Autumn and culturally it is so different from anywhere I have been. It's humbling, subtle, quiet, and very beautiful. I absolutely want to go back. I was there for about 5 days, and it wasn't long enough at all. It was utterly fascinating as a culture and a place. The people were so kind too. It feels very safe so it’s perfect for a solo female traveller like myself.
